Red Ribbon Week

Respect Yourself. Be Drug Free.
Each year a nationwide campaign takes place as a reminder to all of the
importance of living a drug free lifestyle. This campaign, entitled Red Ribbon
Week, aims to prevent our children from becoming involved with drugs and
alcohol. Help celebrate a drug free life by participating in a week full
of activities.
Smiley’s Red Ribbon Activities:
Monday- I’m a JEAN-ius…I’m RED-y for a drug free life!
Wear jeans and a red shirt.
Tuesday– Sock it to drugs!
Wear crazy/wacky socks.
*HUGS not Drugs! – Little Hugs will be sold for $0.50/each.
Wednesday– Stay in the game! Stay drug free!
Wear your favorite sports team jersey/shirt or colors.
Thursday– Drugs can’t find me!
Wear camouflage clothing.

Friday- Hocus Pocus…Drugs are not our Focus!
Trunk-or-Treat! Wear your Halloween costume to school.
No toy weapons or gory costumes.
Face paint and mask are allowed. However, face paint shouldn’t
be gory or scary.
The school is not responsible for any lost or damaged mask.
Smiley Elementary: Where children take flight and soar to new heights.
